At Conscious Collective 2025, Godrej Archives and D.epicentre present Climate Compass, a living, participatory map that explores how language shapes our understanding of the climate crisis. Emerging from a series of workshops across the Godrej Enterprises Group, the project gathers voices from employees, young designers, and community members to reimagine the words that define our environmental future. Drawing from the UNDP Climate Dictionary, Climate Compass reflects on terms like resilience, adaptation, sustainability, and climate justice, not as fixed definitions but as evolving ideas shaped by lived experience. Through these shared reflections, the exhibition becomes a space to listen, respond, and rebuild the vocabulary of care. Complementing these contemporary insights are archival materials from Godrej Archives, tracing the company’s long-standing engagement with environmental thought, from early experiments in conservation and energy use to innovations in packaging, waste management, and sustainable materials. Climate Compass is more than an archive or a glossary. It is a call to conversation, inviting visitors to localise global language, rethink how we speak of climate, and imagine together the futures we hope to inhabit.
