This workshop introduces children to the traditional art of charpoy weaving, guided by skilled artisans. Participants will learn to create their own vibrant mini charpoys, engaging with a practice that has been part of India’s cultural fabric for centuries. Once central to domestic life across rural India, the charpoy is more than a functional object, it embodies community, continuity, and craft. Through hands-on making and dialogue with artisans, children experience weaving as both play and cultural memory.
